Custom software for what now lives in spreadsheets and retyping. Fixed price.
Exports, a spreadsheet next to the ERP, the same data keyed twice. At a wholesaler, nobody retypes over 3,300 of 5,017 order emails anymore. Stratalytic builds the software the process actually needs, live in 2-4 weeks, at a price known upfront, with the code belonging to the company. First an honest check whether an existing package wouldn't fit better.

A solution architect at the table.
At Stratalytic the solution architect at the table also writes the code, no project layer. In 30 minutes we map the process, with an honest verdict, including the possibility that the answer is: buy an existing package instead.

Sound familiar?
The standard package covers 80%, and the missing 20% costs margin daily
The team works around the software with exports, spreadsheets and double entry. The subscription runs on while the real process lives outside the tool.
Agency quotes: hourly rates, months, and a project manager
Open-ended budgets and a team layer between the client and the person actually building. Every change request becomes a negotiation.
The current custom system is old and the developer who built it is gone
Nobody dares to touch it, and every adjustment takes weeks. Replacing it feels risky, but standing still is riskier.
How it works, without risk
- 01
30 minutes with the solution architect
The call is with the solution architect who builds it, no layer in between. Together we map the process, with an honest verdict: is custom worth it, or does an existing package cover it fine?
- 02
Fixed scope, fixed price, in writing
It is known upfront what it costs and what comes out. No hourly surprises; the overrun risk is ours.
- 03
Live in 2-4 weeks, weekly deliveries
Working software every week instead of status reports. The code belongs to the company, documented and transferable.
Why not a standard package or a traditional agency?
| Standard package | Traditional agency | Stratalytic | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fits the process | The 80% average | Eventually, after months | Built for the full 100% |
| Cost model | Subscription forever | Hourly, open-ended | Fixed price, one-off |
| Speed | Instant, but 80% fit | Months, team overhead | 2-4 weeks to live |
| After delivery | Tied to the supplier | Usually the company's | The company's, documented |
Before the call
What does custom software cost?
It depends on integrations and complexity. After the Data Impact Scan the price is fixed, not an hourly estimate that doubles along the way. A proposal only comes when the saving in hours and errors clearly outweighs the price.
Why not just take a standard package?
Sometimes the answer is yes, and we'll simply say so. The check is simple: if an existing package covers 90%+ of the process, take the package. If the differentiation or margin sits in the deviating 20%, a package means a subscription forever and working around what is actually needed. We make that call in the first conversation, free.
How can it be 2-4 weeks when agencies quote months?
We build with a small team of seniors and modern tooling, instead of a layer of project managers, designers and juniors waiting on each other. Smaller scope per delivery, faster feedback, and the conversation is always directly with the person building it.
Who owns the code, and what if we part ways?
The code belongs to the company from day one, documentation and handover included. It runs in an environment of its own inside the EU; there is no mandatory maintenance contract and no dependence on a supplier. Any developer can continue with it, though we hope the company stays because it works.
What if the project overruns or disappoints?
Fixed price means the overrun risk sits with us, not with the company. We build in weekly deliveries so progress shows as working software, not status reports. If week one reveals something fundamentally different, we rescope together, in writing, before more meters are made.
How much of our time does this take, and does it fit next to our ERP?
The call takes 30 minutes. After that we need access to the systems and an hour or two of explanation per week from the person who knows the process; we handle the rest. It runs next to the ERP and the other software that is already there, and takes from it what it needs.
Our data is messy. Is that a problem?
Usually not. The Data Impact Scan shows what is usable and what needs cleaning first, and that goes into the fixed price before anything is built.
