We multiply by 46 working weeks and an all-in hourly rate of €32 (an administrative employee costs €45,000-55,000 per year including employer costs). We count 80% of that amount as automatable, the share of documents AI processing typically handles without human intervention.
Is 80% straight-through processing realistic?
Yes. Modern AI document processing typically starts at 70-80% automatic processing and grows towards 90%+ as the model learns from corrections. Remaining documents go to a review screen where an employee approves them in seconds, that remainder is included in the calculation.
